We provide the best surveillance training related to law enforcement and security professionals. This training will provide overview of ideas, theories and practical knowledge of the best techniques and technology related to conducting surveillance.
We provide an in depth blend of classroom discussions, high level overview, theories and provide the most up to date information, language, case law and guidance reference the cutting edge surveillance principles. In addition, the majority of the course will be practicing and implementing this classroom information in the field.
Surveillance 101 is by no means a basic introductory course, but it is a foundational course in which we encourage every student to begin their surveillance journey. We promise, you will not be bored in Surveillance 101!
There are a few prerequisites. You must come with an open mind and a willingness to learn. You must also be a certified law enforcement officer or credentialed security professional. We welcome all law enforcement personnel, no matter where you are in your career.
You will be given a 30 hour certificate of completion at the conclusion of Surveillance 101. The class is designed to be a 3-day course, spanning daytime and nighttime surveillance. Day 1 and 3 will be 0800-1800 hours with day 2 designed to cover some nighttime skills and familiarity.
Surveillance 101 has an out the door cost of $395. This price is very very competitive within the space as we want to provide this knowledge and build the skill base of the law enforcement professional. Our goal is to reach the broadest audience and not be cost prohibitive. With that being said, email us at admin@surveillancetraining.com for group rates, hosting discounts, etc. Even if you are the young officer reading this FAQ at 3am working midnights, and you wish for us to host this class at your agency, contact us, we are willing to talk and work out a fantastic deal for you!
You will need access to a vehicle. Preferably, you have access to an unmarked city, county, state or federal vehicle. You have the option to provide your own vehicle too, don't let any obstacle get in your way. Please DO NOT drive a marked city vehicle to training, you will be assigned with someone who has an unmarked. Bring binoculars, headphones, phone chargers and snacks as optional niceties.
You will be given a course certificate to add to your resume (CV). You will also have access to our instructors for up to date information and news with an open line to help with any future questions or concerns. There will definitely be swag! Most importantly, you will have an awesome foundation in basic and advanced surveillance techniques to help you be a more valuable asset to your team and your department. This course will make you more confident in your abilities, more dynamic and more professional in the courtroom.
